Prototype notice. This page describes the intended editorial process. It does not certify the sample claims elsewhere on this site as verified.

The short version

We start with the Reader’s task, define criteria that matter to that choice, check material claims against retrievable sources, and explain the tradeoffs. A source check is not the same as a hands-on test.

Start with a real decision

Each Article should answer a clear question about choosing or using an App. We choose criteria based on the task and the Reader’s likely constraints, then apply the same criteria across the Apps in a Comparison.

Recommendations reflect editorial judgment about Reader fit. Commercial relationships do not buy a ranking or change a factual verdict.

Put sources beside material claims

Claims about price, plan limits, supported platforms, and features should link to evidence a Reader can retrieve. We prefer current primary sources such as vendor pricing pages and help documentation. We record when a source was checked and leave unclear terms unresolved rather than filling gaps with estimates.

If a claim depends on a source that can change, its check date and context should be visible. Source links support a claim; they do not imply that AppCenter independently tested it.

Say what we did and did not test

When an Article synthesizes documents and attributed reports, it should say so. We describe hands-on testing only when it was actually performed and explain the relevant scope. A product profile or feature list alone is not a product test.

Current prototype status

The email-tool examples are not presented as hands-on tested. Prices, limits, and capabilities remain sample content until checked against current vendor sources.

Correct material errors

Readers can report outdated or incorrect information at corrections@appcenter.ro. We review reports, recheck the relevant evidence, and update material changes. Article pages should show their update or source-check status without suggesting that every detail is continuously monitored.

Keep advertising separate

Ads are labeled and visually separated from editorial content. An ad placement does not count as evidence and does not set an Article’s recommendation.
